Pumpkin Season

Oct 22, 2018

Can you smell that in the air? It’s pumpkin spice and there are only two kinds of people for the next 2 months. Those who love pumpkin spice and all that accompanies it, and those who hate it. Which are you? I’m leaning more towards the third and undisclosed option of not giving a fuck either way but truthfully I’m not drinking a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks anytime soon. It’s just not my thing. Unfortunately I live in a world with 2 ladies in the house and yeah, we’ve gone from summer coconut hell to pumpkin / spice / cinnamon chaos.

Cool fact, carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns is a popular Halloween tradition that originated hundreds of years ago in Ireland. Back in the day they carved them out of turnips or potatoes, not pumpkins. It wasn’t until Irish immigrants arrived in America and discovered the pumpkin that a new Halloween ritual was born. Can you imagine getting the kids around a table to carve up some potatoes?

The past week has been hectic but I have not forgotten. This week, I start to record! Hoping to get an intro for the show done tomorrow and then work myself into the first few episodes. I’m thinking 30 minutes per episode should do the trick for now, longer if/when I start bringing on guests. I have a few guests in mind that would be a funny listen who have a great story to tell. I will cross that bridge when I get there.

So hang tight my lovelies, the unhinged train of consciousness is coming. Just do me a favor and keep your pumpkin spice laundry soap to yourself! 🙂
