Damned If You Do

Hey folks I know this is not one of my typical posts but as a lifelong metalhead from time to time I am going to share a new album from an old band. Music that takes you back and pushes you forward at the same time.

Metal Church has done just that with their new album Damned If You Do, released by Rat Pack Records. Props to Rat Pack for supporting old school metal and helping these guys now in their 40s / 50s / and even 60s keep the metal dreams alive.

I’m not ready for Kids Bop. I never will be. Thankfully the kid loves rock and roll and metal (even some dance / pop a la Swift, Perry, and other junk but it’s always her choice) so she will appreciate this new release. She loves XI, their last album.

This new album marks the first 100% full on Mike Howe record. You can hear it in the music. XI was amazing and Howe crushed it, but this has much more of the bands soul from his glory days.

Generally I’m just happy how many old school metal bands are STILL putting out fantastic music in 2018 and beyond. Both Overkill and Death Angel have albums scheduled for 2019 so the metal energy will keep flowing.

Check out the album here on iTunes / Apple Music:
